To the  Italian citizenship  of divorced persons, the following documents must be added to the file: 
If the divorce was made  by court order provide: 

-  Separation sentence.  
-  Initial petition for conversion of separation into divorce.  
-  The judgment of the judge granting the divorce. 
–  Date – day, month and year – on which the decision became final.  

 
The initials of the official or clerk authenticating the document must appear on all pages of the process.  On the last page of the divorce, the official's or clerk's initials must be recognized in a notary or notary office  or be recognized in foreign ministry offices and presented with a sworn translation.  

              
In the case of divorce by  Public Deed of Consensual Divorce (Law No. 11,441 of 01/04/2007), the applicant must submit: 

–  Certificate of divorce, in original, accompanied by translation into Italian.   

The applicant for recognition of Italian citizenship must also submit a specific application for the case.

If the declaration is not signed before an employee of this Consulate, it must be notarized and the interested party must also send a certified photocopy of their identity card.
