THE  Italian citizenship  can be requested at the Consulates of the Jurisdiction where you live or directly in Italy. To recognize through Brazil, just fill out the application that is on the Consulate's website, strictly following the instructions in the itinerary they provide.

After registering, you will enter the queue and wait until you are called, on average 10 to 15 years and only then will you receive a notice from the consulate to present the documentation for the recognition of the  Italian citizenship, for which you will have an average of 6 months to send all the documentation, without errors, according to their rules. Italian Citizenship Rights prepares the process according to each consulate and analyzes it in advance, in this case with a small fee due to the complexity of the consulate's requirements. If there are discrepancies that need to be rectified, we will forward them to partner lawyers. This procedure should not be left for when it is called, as there may not be enough time.

Despite being more bureaucratic and more costly, the opportunity cost must be analyzed, as recognition is much faster, in a few months you will be a citizen. This recognition time varies depending on the place chosen by you or the consultancy chosen, as well as the requirements regarding documentation vary from one place to another, there is no uniformity. The documentation is the same, the difference is the form of presentation, the time of recognition and the cost.  For Italian Consulates, the documentation cannot contain spelling errors by the same person and in Italy some are accepted.
