the deadlines  may vary according to the complexity of each process, which means that there are no exact deadlines, but estimates.

Therefore, the deadlines that we inform below are those currently practiced by the Conservatória dos Registos Centrais, in Lisbon, and its other extensions.

                               Portuguese nationality

Assignment for Portuguese child – 2 to 4 months;

Enrollment for a minor child of Portuguese – 15 to 30 days;

Acquisition through marriage or de facto union (stable union) – 6 to 10 months; Naturalization for grandson of Portuguese –  4 to 6  months;

Naturalization for foreign citizens residing in Portugal for at least 6 years – 4 to 6 months.

wedding transcript –  2 to 3 months;

Review of foreign divorce (or common-law marriage) judgment  or  adoption)  – 4 to 6 months;

Defense in Action Opposing Portuguese Nationality – 4 to 6 months;

Appeal in Action of Opposition to Portuguese Nationality – 3 to 4 months.
